All custom knitted sweaters will have set-in sleeves unless you tell me otherwise.  This is the type of sleeve most commonly found in clothing today.  There are other types of sleeve styles available.  Please click here to read about other choices for sleeve styles.

Here's a unique design - this sweater was created for a three-year-old boy who loves (a) Roman numerals, (b) clocks, and (c) stars.  His mother asked me if I could knit a sweater for him to wear at his birthday party which would incorporate these three things.  

The little boy was so delighted that he and his mom called me when they received the sweater,  just to say thank you!

This red hot pullover sweater was knitted for Christmas, a gift for a four-year-old boy who loves rhinos.  Last I heard, he still hadn't taken it off.

This adorable duo graced the front of a dark green crewneck pullover sweater which was actually knitted for a grown man, a gift from a son to his father this past Christmas.  The combination of giraffe and monkey, together in a heart outline across the chest of the sweater, had a special significance to father and son and made a truly memorable holiday gift.  Click on the photo to see an enlargement; click "back" on your browser to return to this page.

This custom knitted blue and white cardigan sweater and hat set was designed for the new baby son of two doctors!  It has a hand embroidered, baby blue stethoscope around the neckline.   Click on the photo to see an enlargement; click "back" on your browser to return to this page.

A personalized, custom knitted design like this one makes a gift that will be remembered long after the usual baby gifts have been outgrown and discarded. 

Many designs can be personalized with a child's name.  This design, called Lady Golfer, was originally created for the twin daughters of two avid golfers, a gift from their country club to the new babies.  It has become quite popular as a new baby gift among the golfing set in their area.

The petite hand embroidered Bumblebee shown to the left, which is about three inches high, was actually designed for a lady, and placed on the lower edge of the front of her sweater.  It had a special significance to the lady, who received this sweater as a birthday gift from her husband.  Two tiny round gold beads were used for the eyes of the bee.  

This motif would be adorable on a child's sweater as well, with embroidered stitches used for the eyes rather than beads (for safety reasons).
