Teddy Bear with Balloons Afghan.  Purest white 100% cotton hand knitted, personalized baby afghan with a teddy bear holding two balloons, one sugar plum pink and one violet, to welcome the new baby!  The child's first name is custom knitted into the design in sugar plum pink lettering across the top of the baby afghan.  The words "I love my Mommy and Daddy" are hand embroidered above the teddy bear in matching shades of sugar plum pink and violet.  Hand crocheted sugar plum pink edging around the outside of the afghan adds a distinctive touch.  

The baby afghan is substantially thick and warm, scrunchy soft and beautifully hand crafted including a full knitted lining for the back, knitted separately and stitched to the front, which makes a smooth double layer of warmth.  It has no fuzzy yarn ends to irritate or tickle sensitive skin.  The back lining of the baby afghan is plain white.  Machine wash/dry.

The hand knitted baby afghan is available in two sizes: 

•  25" X 29", a practical size for the car seat, baby carrier, for traveling and at home, and 
•  34" X 36", suitable for the crib, toddler bed, or stroller.  

Shown here in colors appropriate for a baby girl, this design can also be hand knitted with colors appropriate for a boy.  For instance, I would recommend the colors "baby blue" and "denim" for the lettering and the color of the teddy bear's balloons, and for the decorate edge stitching around the outside of the afghan.  To see the color choices available, click here; to return to this page, click "back" on your browser.

Here's a nice option:  Instead of the baby's first name in large letters across the top of the afghan, you could choose to have the baby's full name and date of birth hand embroidered across the top of the afghan.

Custom knitting takes approximately 3-4 weeks, depending on my schedule.  (I'll let you know the exact delivery date when I confirm your order.)  Your order will be shipped via Priority Mail (48 hour delivery).  FedEx overnight delivery is also available upon request. MasterCard, Visa, Discover, PayPal, personal checks and money orders are OK.
